The concept of fitted bedrooms has been around for generations now but the concept of floor to ceiling wardrobes around the whole room is no longer the only choice. With more of us seeing the benefits of de-cluttering and opting for the minimalistic look we felt it time to offer something like this for the bedroom. Its certainly no secret that how we live our lives can effect our mood and well being and so creating a spacious light surrounding should make us feel happier and hopefully live a longer life. To that end we have tried to keep this bedroom as spacious as possible and whilst talking of space, we have used single linked beds so that you even have your own space whilst asleep, so no more rolling together and fighting over the quilt. In this bedroom the use of low level cabinets in front of the window allows the natural light to flood in to the room and the use of wall hung cabinets and open shelving on the bed end wall adds to the feeling of spaciousness and allows the light to flow around the room. Also choosing to have the dressers in front of the window is ideal if the lady of the home needs to apply her make up with good natural light. Obviously we still need to have somewhere to keep our clothes and so we have kept the wardrobe space to a single run of wardrobe on the wall facing the windows, shown here with central mirrors to reflect the natural light. The addition of reading lamps on the bed and downlights on the wardrobes is another nice addition for during the long winter evening when natural light is minimal.
